Human-Computer Interaction lab

Graduate School of Information Science and Technology, Hokkaido University.

The Human-Computer Interaction Laboratory of the Graduate School of Information Science and Technology, Hokkaido University, conducts research on human-centered interactive systems. We investigate the interaction mechanism between humans and computer systems from a scientific point of view and implement robotics, agent systems, and interactive systems from an engineering point of view in terms of both software and hardware. Our research topics include understanding phenomena through the construction of dialogue systems such as human-agent interaction and human-robot interaction, and through cognitive scientific and social-psychological experiments, as well as the construction of user interfaces that provide new user experiences, and usability evaluation experiments. This is a general research area related to interaction design and evaluation.
